Lightbulb new bracket

well, thanks to this thread i had a new idea. I looked at the original bracket and it was a tight fit with a huge piece of metal, so i bought a stip of thin aluminum and made my own that was an inch longer and 1/8 the wt for $2.38 . not knocking the intake just think they could have used a smaller lighter bracket. but the sounds are sweet with the spoolup and revs. not sure of the power yet still have the exhaust to install.

you can take a needle nose pliers and hold the other end, i did what they mention at another site and used a hammer to tap the wrench instead of constant pressure all broke free nice and easy. if you need to just reach inside the box, not a problem after you take it completely off the car.

Just installed mine

In order to atatch the bracket you need to remove the old bracket that held on the stock intake box.. It is a brass color if i remember right. It is atatched to the intercooler piping and frame.. it seperated in like 2 mins.. . You will see where it aligns.. The bracket atatches to the buttom screw closest to the fire wall and it will line up directly with another screw hole from the stock bracket... I broke all 4 of my inake box screws taking it off.. I just made sure to break them really well so i could get a wrench in there to hold them.. I figured that stock box will never go on again.. LOL If you need any help after reading this AIM or email me..

BE REALLY CAREFUL THE SCREEN INSIDE THE TEH STOCK BOX IS REALLY FRAGILE.. MAKE SURE THE WRENCH DOESNT SLIP OFF.!! That Screen protects the maf and will effect flow greatly!!
Goodluck!
