my car ran fine above 1k. no problems at all. I think that some vehicles may have different sensitivity levels on the mass air-- I also had the turbo xs dual vent-- didnt work worth crap on my car but worked fine on another..............

i have a few questions if you could be any help it would make my
day.... i also planned doing buiness with AMS.... anyways my problems
with my car was that i didnt replum the blow off valve... but then i
bought the HKS EIDS and it works but then when it idles it goes completely
rich???? but when you unhook it, it idles fine but runs like crap????
i have also been running to rich and not running enough boost. which
is why i bought the boost controller to fix that.... i dont understand
i have even taken it to the local dyno and he had no idea what was
wrong with it. i has been very upseting everything i do to it and it
still does not get better.

I just installed my EIDS and none of these tutorials helped. I seriously thought about photographing my ECU wiring harness and how I did it so that someone else with a IX doesn't get their mind blown like I did. The wiring diagram from RRE was wrong (maybe it's for evo 8). The GEM pdf was great. It had a chart with Evo VIII and IX along with the wires, functions and colors. Without that badboy I'd still be stumped. After I made absolutely sure I hooked up everything right, I set the EIDS to 60% and so far my car has ran fine. Just make sure the wiring diagram you look at is for YOUR CAR and you'll be fine.

The problems what the most have with the EIDS is only because the clip doesn´t cut the cable so the EIDS ECU didn´t receive the signal.
Is better to use an other system to connect the 03 cables to the Evo ECU instead the clips.
