Question Buschur Racing Mini Battery install help!

Ok I received the Buschur Mini battery kit today only to find myself disappointed. I removed the factory battery and the tray in like 5 minutes. Everything was going great, then I pull out the battery tray for the mini battery only to find that it doesn't line up with the bolts/airbox. Please take a look at the picture and let me know if I'm doing something wrong. If not, I'm going to return the mini battery kit.

Well I talked to Mach V and they told me it should fit, and I told Buschur when i ordered it so they knew I had the stock air box.

Well it can fit if you do some modifications. But the battery itself is longer than the stock battery is wide.

If the mini battery can't move a little to the rear its not going to work. If it has to sit like its shown on the BR web site then no way with the stock airbox.

Sorry to hear about your problem but I was just about to order one myself, not now if it isn't going to work with the stock airbox.

Please let us know what you find out.

Well i was just looking over the receipt from Buschur and at the bottom it says no returns on electrical items unless otherwise noted. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what kind of return they can give me. It has never been used and never installed. I would hate to have to pay a 15% restocking fee for something I was told would fit. From what I have heard Buschur guys are nice people and I have plans on buying their turbo back exhaust in the near future, so we'll see. Just paying for shipping back to Ohio is going to cost me enough

I could not fit my minibattery kit with the stock airbox in place. Of course I had no issues with the BR intake in place.

I'm interested to hear what BR has to say. The kit could probably fit with the stock box with some minor modifications to their design. Also, my mounting tray rubbed against the motor mount while driving due to the mount flexing. I had to cut a relief so it didn't hit the motor mount. Minor issue but I've seen other Evos equipped with the battery kit with the same problem.

Buschur folks are great. They let me return the kit for a full refund. I believe they will be updating their website to let people know this mini battery kit will not fit with the stock airbox in place. I do believe that with some minor modifications their design could work, but as it is currently it won't
