Nexus Wideband

Ok here it goes. I just received my new Wideband gauge. I need some assistance in installing it in my car. Now mind you I've searched everywhere in the threads and couldn't find anthing about Nexus Wideband...

The nexus wideband has an 02 sensor with bung/ an eight foot cable that installs to the gauge and the nexus module plus red/black wires...

I have the sensor mounted "for now" on the test pipe with the bung facing the downpipe in a slight vertical position. I spoke with AMS Performance the day before yesterday and they told me that as long as the 02 sensor is within 36 inches of the Turbo that was ok.

I hooked up the red wire to the stereo positive 12v. and the black one to a solid bolt connected to the chassis.

I reconnected the (Neg) battery and turned on my car and nothing! just my nexus boost gauge turned on...

Am I doing something wrong? I also noticed that the instructions do not say anything about connecting to the ECU so I just wondering if I'm missing anything. Just Curious

Forgive me if I'm sounding like a NOOB it's real late right now!

Thanks guys! Anything will help

No sounds right check your connections. Gauge plugs into supplied harness and you need a power and ground connection. It does not touch with the stock ECU

I will check today! I hope it's not a faulty gauge, I would hate to wait another 5 days to get a replacement!

Thanks for your reply man

I fixed it... For anybody that has the Autometer Nexus Wideband make sure when you install the whole system make sure you have an SD card.

With the SD card and computer you need to install the Latest firmware and save it to the SD card. http://autometer.com/tech_softwaredownloads.aspx

as soon as you do that you need to insert the SD card to the remote control of the Nexus System then press RECORD (center button) then turn vehicle to the on position without turning on your ride and keep the record button pressed... You will see a green light turn on for about 5 second. Release the button and then your done! Viola! Your Wideband turns on!
