just fix it. it only gets worse.

Like you, mine started with the wipers going, then the horn being stuck on, then finally after a car wash the car just wouldnt start.
You have to fix the rubber grommet behind the drivers front fender and then fix all the nice wiring near the fuse block.

 

yeah i am about to....just trying to get the motivation to brave the 10 degree temps and do it...

 

my wipers wont turn on anymore. I am gong to check the fuse then i am going to check the drivers side kick panel. I also have an 8. So, What you do is completely bypass the connector and re solder the wires????

 

I am we todd it!!!! I had removed the fuse the day prior and re inserted it and presto chango o, wipers working. Alhtough, I am still giong to inspect the drivers side kick panel.

 

Does anyone know the part Number for the Gromet on the Drives side(or even the size. mine is missing and my Passengers side it Hacked too.

 

Hey guys completely don't mean to thread jack, just been reading and learning up in known um issues of these cars. But I have a water leak. Pretty bad. Front driver side. If it pours all day I will have standing water in the floor. I'm pretty sure it's coming from that boot behind the driver fender. But anyone had any leak issues anywhere else? Thank you and sorry for heating off topic

 

I haven't heard of leaks anywhere else. Just the boot behind on the drivers side kick panel.

 

Yup. Fixed my leak today. This thread was a blessing in disguise.
