transfer case advice...
well i'm finishing up a clutch job on a 05 evo..when i got the job the tranny was already out and everything...well now i have the tranny bolted on w/ 3bolts but i'm trying 2 put the transfercase in w/ the tranny then bolt it on....like theres a gap between the tranny and the Tranfer case, i tried 2 wobble it and then if feels like its in there but just wont close all the way..any one have some ideas tips or anything, thanx guys.

If the gap is around an inch or so, this is normal. Take the 3 botls out and then just puch on it a wiggle a bit continue to turn the spline at the back of the tc where the driveshaft connects, turn it a little at a time and eventually it will just slip on. Once you feel it slip it will go most of the way on, then just put the bolts in and use them to pull it the last little bit. But dont pull it together with the bolts because if its not lined up correctly, you will jam the splines together and mess up the shafts. But once you get it to around 1/4" or so, then it will pull together with the bolts.

thanx man, i got that in man.....now heres my other problem
sup guys, need some help, advice, or tips whatever u guys can give me.....here it goes.....
i'm finishing a clutch job that was givin 2me...the tranny was already out and everythin..I put the transmission back on and did all the approporiate changes and slided it in and all bolted back to the engine.
The logic in me says that clutch fork needs to be pressed towards the passenger side. So, to the left side when I"m looking at it, as I think slave cylinder would "PUSH" the clutch fork... BUT i see that i can't push it towards the passenger side at ALL, but it moves to the RIGHT (driver side). So it's like it needs to be PULLED by the slave cylinder.. but logically that's not possible!
Do i need to pull the transmission out again? or does it automatically become normal after connecting everything up on the engine? I noticed the clutch fork natually goes to the passenger (left) side because of a spring...
I have a feeling something's not right here! Help?
heres some pics
Ok guys, here's some picture, this is what i'm talking about:
Pic1, The TOB is set to far to driverside at first. :
Pic2, View from Clutch Fork :
Pic3, I push the clutch fork far right to the driver side. It makes a "Click" and catches on the little ring :
Pic4, I let go of the fork after the click, Than the fork goes to the middle of the clutch fork hole:
Pic5, I can push the fork to the right (driverside) and it goes there, but when i let go, the fork goes back to the center.
It's very Springy, I can't push the fork to the Passengerside at all, it automatically centers again when pushed to the driver side.
Is it supposed to be like that? I'm not sure, but i think it's supposed to be the opposit?
oh yeah i pt the slave sylinder back on just 2 test it out and my clutch peddal just goes all the way 2 the floor..pls guys help me out.thanx alot!

and my clutch peddal goes all the way to the bottom, does it mean i have are in the systhem the last guy disconnected it from teh actual line? if so how would i bleed it if i cant pump the peddal and let the air out?

To your first ?...our cars are pull-type, not push. So yes it dows go to the drivers side because it pulls it instead of pushing it like most cars.
And yes, you can bleed it. I dont know all the parts of it, when we bled mine, a friend was doing it and I was just pushing the cluch! So I dont know where you bleed it from. Sorry. But make sure you bleed it MORE than you think you need to!
