Truck lid

Hi I just picked up a 05 lancer evo 8 and i notice when i went to open the truck it would not stay open on its own. I was just wondering if its that way because of the spoiler on it and if not how i can fix it?

And some one probably removed the springs on the trunk arms.

trunk sorry. i see i didnt see any trunk springs so that must be it. it just has the 2 tension bars.
