egr valve
i have an evo8 and recently my service light came on.after a month i went to get it reset.after they ran it in the computer it show random miss fire and o2 sensor bank2.so i got the o2snsor to change it but now im still let with the miss fire code.my mech told me that the egr valve is probly cloged and is causing the miss fire.....did any one have this issue with their evo? and how did you fix it?

If you haven't fixed the problem, check your EGR and make sure that the vacuum lines that run to it are actually hooked up.
I had crazy misfire issues and was informed to check the vac lines on the EGR valve (thanks again GST). Problem solved... use a zip tie and a bit of hair spray to keep the line from popping off.

Remove your EGR valve, install an EGR block-off plate, and disable the EGR emissions checks in your ECU Cheap, easy, simple!
