AEM tru boost tips?

I just installed an aem tru boost into my evo 9. i had a mbc(turbo xs) and i was boosting 25 lbs.i installed this aem tru boost gauge, made sure everything was right, and now i cant seem to get it to boost passed 11-12 psi. My boost is set to 23, the spring setting for the wastegate is 11. i dont know what else to do or what the problem could be? although i do have a hose missing off of my stock solenoid. could that be the problem? if anyone has any incite please let me know. thanks alot.

The parameter you are trying to adjust is not rated in psi but in duty cycle. So like Rome-Evo said, start out with a conservative duty cycle and increase until u get to your desired boost level.

bump for these logs and tips. whenever i floor it from first all the way to 4th and check my peak boost it says 21.5-21.9, but if i floor it in third gear with no shifting, it reads 24.4 which is where i want it to be, i want it to be consistent not matter how i punch it, help!

Just a heads up I have had my evo true boost guage for about a year now and I love it.
I run the truboost guage at 67 duty cycle = 26psi peak boost witch tapers down to 24psi.
(this setting varies greatly depending on your motor, turbo, tune.
Dont forget to set the proper settings for the waste gate.

I am in NJ, have an Evo IX, and a Tru-boost, I can meet you and let you look at my setup if you want.

i think i figured it out now, but not i dont know if wanna keep it. heres why: A:56% = 24 psi in 3rd gear WOT only if i start out at 1st gear one WOT pull all the way to 3rd. When going WOT starting in 3rd gear, this same duty cycle will boost to like 28 psi, so I set B:36% which gives me 24 psi only if starting in 3rd gear, if starting in 1st gear and wot all the way to 4th, max boost will only reach 22%. I wish I could have 24 psi consistently no matter what gear im pulling in. So for now I have B set for DD if i decide to pull spontaneously ill max at 24 psi, but if I'm running from a dig or 1st gear I have to change it to A. yea its only a few buttons to push to toggle between A and B but its still a hassle.

Does anyone know of any consistent boost controllers?

It's load man, Different load gives different boost spikes and so on. You also have a stock turbo that falls off. My turbo spikes to 27 and drops to 19PSI at the 7000K limit.

true, but it seems like i never had this problem when i was running my hallman mbc and mechanical boost guage, but then again maybe i just wasnt noticing until i got the tru boost which records peak boost. If this is the case, then all ppl running stock turbo with mbc are losing power then right?
