Manually roll up electric window.
I know it sounds funny but my window regulator decided to eat the cable and now my window is stuck in the down position. Is there a way to manually put the window back in the up position until I get a new one?

Additional info as I just had to do this today on my driver door.
All bolts have a 10mm head
With the window down take out the two bolts that hold the glass onto the regulator, then slide the glass up and out of the window opening.
Unbolt the window regulator/track (2 bolts at top and 2 bolts at bottom)
Unbolt the window motor 3 bolts in triangle shape (towards middle/top of door)
Slide the window regulator and motor out.
Cut a 2x4 to approximately 20 1/4 inches
Slide the 2x4 into the door have it angled out of the way
Slide the glass back into the door through the window opening
Slide the glass all the way to the top of the window
Position the 2x4 in-between the gap between where the two bolts hold the glass onto the regulator.

My issue was one of the regulator wires/cables broke. I also noticed that one of the square plastic pieces MR970863 had one of the tabs broken. Not sure if this pieces is used to keep the window and place and may have contributed to the issue. So make sure yours isn't broken while your in there.
The cheapest place I found the window regulator and motor was rockauto for $50 shipped. Its best to replace both especially if its the drivers window as it gets the most use.
