Has anyone got a newer Thule roof rack system installed? Browsed around and most people I see have the older kit. The instructions that came with the kit list the makes of cars that the kit fits. (evolution vii, lancer 02-07 and the lancer cedia?....)

I did some calling around to Thule and MMNA

Thule said there was no fitment of ANY of their kits to their products for the Evolution VIII, but it seems that some pictures on the forum beg to differ...

MMNA Checked out the dimensions of the Evo VII and VIII and said that the roof dimensions are exactly the same so now comes the issue of trying to figure out this kit....I've heard there are clips or something inside the gutter for an OEM rack? Also heard that I am supposed to use the brackets and clip into the door jam, but the pads on the feet don't reach the rain gutters. I'm completely at a loss with this.

Checked out the local ski shops and their hands are up in the air as well.
