93octane to E-85 easy way?

the passanger side drain bolt, you can feel it by hand and its very easy, just loosen enough to drain then tighten it up...the whole hose thing in your engine bay sounds messy to me..

I hear that when you do this, you shouldn't go hard on the first tank. You should wait until the second tank to WOT. Just what I heard....also, be aware that the low fuel light turns on with 3 more gallons in the tank! So calculate wisely (cuz otherwise you'll leave a lot of remnants of pump fuel in the tank and your car will be running 97 octane instead of 105)!!

well, going from E85 to pump gas is not the problem (mix them and you're running 95 or so). The problem is going from pump gas back to E85 (mix them and you're running 98 or so and if you're tuned to 105, that could be problematic).

I bought a 6' length of fuel hose from the parts store, unhooked the return line and ran the hose to a bucket. I used EvoScan to activate the fuel pump until the tank was almost empty. Don't go too low, the fuel pump(Walbro) made some funny noises trying to draw all that fuel out of there once it got towards the end. I still had plenty enough fuel left to drive to the gas station and fill up on E-85. I wouldn't worry about having a gallon or so left of 93, just fill the car up as far as you can on E-85. Don't go beat on the car on the first tank but you will be fine if you get into some boost. You might be running a tad richer than normal but the octane level should still be high enough for the tune.
I didn't want to use the drain bolt on the fuel tank because I've heard it runs down the side and isn't a straight stream. Also, because of that, I planned on reusing the gas and putting it in my beater, gas ain't cheap!
