trying to get my evo to start ?

so i came home from work and when i stopped at the light 3 blocks from my house my car stalled and died... im trying to figure out what happened... the car cranks but doesnt catch on... im guessing it is the fuel pump??? i checked the plugs too and they were good... mabe coils? lmk any advises ....felt like the car lost electrical power cuz my lights were dimmed when it happened... and no battery still good

When you turn key on do you hear fuel pump crank over? If not could be fuel pump or maybe fuel pump relay. Good luck.

You say your lights were dimmed? Could be alternator, regulator or a bad chassis ground. But if it's cranking and not turning over, start with the big 3:
fuel
spark
compression

no i don't hear the fuel pump cranking over... it is a walbro pump too so there pretty loud... yea im gonna check if fuel pump has power... thanks for the info and also i think ive got a bad alternator too... ive gone through 2 batteries already

Also check fuse. But FYI if it alternator don't get one from auto zone or places like that. They wont last. I put two with in a month. And it a job to replace but kinda easy. Try this place it is oem http://www.oemmitsubishiparts.com/pa...ion=ALTERNATOR
This is a little more money but won't be replacing in a month. Oh yea this one I linked is for 08' gsr so change to your model and year good luck.
