How To Make a Clutch Fork Stop

Hey Evom,

I'm looking to make my own clutch fork stop for my car, i feel that all the prices for these are just outrageous. Its a simple machine part. Has anyone made one of these and if so what were the dimensions you used? This could help everyone out.

Thanks!

You have to look at the XXX clutch fork stop as an investment or rather preventative tool to prevent the clip from popping out. You have a tool thats specificailly tested time and time on the track-whether; autocross or drag. I'd rather spend 60 or even 100 for a clutch fork stop that was designed by CAD/tested and is proven to last then a DIY'er that looks like crap, works and later down the line trashes a tranny.

I used to be a full product design developer at an extremely successfully fortune 500 company. I used to develop and design from start to finish on multi billion dollar projects. I can handle a clutchfork stop i just wanted to see if there were some quick dimensions someone had while i was stuck at a computer. I went ahead and measured one out and have one in my hand created already. I'll snap some pics and give em away, cost me no money.

I agree with op, I made my own. Its a chunk of aluminum with a bolt threaded into it....You really think they spent time and money on r&d?? Mine looks identical to XXX and I guarantee it will last just as long doing the exact same job!

Let's see some pictures of those DIY clutch fork stops. I always like to make little things like that, it's all about the little details in my eyes.
