Black hood vent?

Hi guys!!

Possibly a very simple yet silly question, so i want my hood vent black. I am unsure wether i am supposed to paint the vent itself black from silver, and also the mesh on the hood, or simply just the mesh. Can someone pleaaaase help because i really think it adds a nice look to a white evo. I was thinking of taking the silver vent off, spraying it with a heat resistant paint, and the also spraying the mesh on the bonnet. If there is a proper way of getting it how i want it, can someone please let me know

Thanks fellas!

Yep I spray the mesh once a year on mine. I use a High Heat Black also. It never seems to hold up longer than that for me before it starts chipping off

You can spry the louvered vent just the same. I threw mine out a decade ago.

Your exhaust manifold hardware and freeze plugs will suffer from excess rain

I have the stock seibon hood so I periodically get some high temp paint and paint the mesh black on mine as well. A good solid coat on it or two and it usually lasts a solid year or two.
