Jeff, they are "new" but have been running in other cars for quite awhile from what I understand. New to EVO guys. I don't foresee any problems, they work too good right now to expect anything but good things from them. You are correct, for your build right now they make perfect sense. I forgot about the E85 in your car.

Yes, I'd say the ID1000's would make sense over the 1200's. The 1200's run good, I don't have much problem from them at all but these 2000's run even a bit better at low speeds than the 1200's.

In order to run these in the EVO the injector ballast resistor has to be removed. The wires on the harness all get twisted together and crimped/soldered. Pretty simple. I didn't want to cut the car harness so I got an old resistor, cut the plug off of it, connected all those wires, sealed it and plugged it back into the car side of the harness. EVO wiring harness is $800+ new and getting harder to get. Much easier to cut the resistor connector off.

We will also be carrying the ID1000's. I have not used them yet though, so no feedback.

For a second there, I thought the thread got deleted.

anyway, thanks for the information Dave, and cutting the plug of a resistor pack and soldering the wires is indeed clever. I have pmed you regarding the pricing and consequently we will move forward

It beats the hell out of how most people do it and then end up ruining a very expensive wiring harness. Speaking of which, I wanted to get a spare harness before they are no longer available. Guess what? None in the country, we ordered one going to be a few weeks and they aren't cheap. Going to keep in in the bag, new and in storage just incase

Finished tuning my car today. It is absolutely incredible that these injectors run like they do. The drivability, idle and AFR's are just amazing. It is messing with my mind.

Something I thought of today while I was tuning. When you use boost correct tables with the AEM in the past, if the car is tuned at 30 psi and then run up to 40 psi I nearly always find (unless the turbo is out of wind) that the AFR's are leaner at 40 psi. Well today, using boost correct, same formula as AEM, in the Haltech I noticed the AFR's at 30 psi and 40 psi were identical. No adjustment needed. I then remembered the chart I attached. Look how linear the 2000 injector is compared to the 1600, makes sense now why the cars would run leaner at higher boost.

Also, at 690 whp today I was at 87% duty cycle, that's on E85 and 11.8:1 afr's.

I just found out that these injectors can not be used with VP Import or VP Q16. Those two fuels cause the internal seals to swell and restrict fuel flow by a large margin. Keep this in mind if ordering.

I haven't tried them on the stock ECU yet but I would say absolutely.

Yes, the ID2000's can be used on a daily driver, they are the best running large injector I've ever used.

Been running ID1000's I got from Tony over at T1 in my car for sometime now, tuned by him. Absolutely worth the change in my opinion compared to the PTE injectors I was running.

Idle quality was better, more stable a/f, driveability was improved, a/f at idle was not pig rich like before trying to run low duty cycle on the pte without misfiring, etc... all around pretty much kicked the **** out my old injectors.

Injector Dynamics FTW!
