Unbelievable new fuel injectors.

****EDITED NOTE: These injectors can NOT be used with VP Q16 or Import. The internal seals swell and severly reduce the flow of the injectors. We just found this out. At this time no other gasoline has been found that causes this problem.

A few months ago I was told about a new fuel injector that was out from Curt Brown. He and I both wanted to run E85 but were out of injector on 1600's and on top of that the 1600's run like crap down low.

This new injector is made by Injector Dynamics and flow 2235cc at 43.5 psi of base pressure and an unreal 3710 cc at 130 psi. (Which of course none of us are running)

I've seen so much hype and bullcrap in my time that I was very hesitant to try them out. I told Curt when he got them to let me know if they worked at all and if so I'd try them. Curt gave me a call the first day and said he was already impressed. Good enough for me.

I installed the new injectors in the Bad Bish and switched over to E85. I did the swap first using the AEM EMS and was amazed at how much better the car ran than it did on the 1600's of the past AND the 1200's and had just taken out of it. Making 710 whp here on our dyno AFR's at 11.4:1, I had a duty cycle of 90%. Very impressive. This was with a stock fuel pressure regulator and base pressure of about 38 psi. Once the AFR's are dialed in to 12:1, the duty cycle should drop to about 85%. Raising the fuel pressure to the 43.5 psi base will knock them down further to around 80%.

Today I tuned a customers car on E85 also. He has our double pumper, single stock fuel line, stock fuel rail, stock fuel pressure regulator and these 2000 cc injectors. I was using the AEM EMS to tune the car also. I can not be more impressed with how the car came out. Only 60% duty cycle on this car with 550 whp and it idles and drives like a dream.

HUGE difference in these injectors. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a 1200 cc injector or larger.

We are now offering and stocking these injectors for anyone interested. They sell for $239.95 per injector. While they are not the cheapest, at this point in time, they do appear to be the best. I'm very impressed.

Now, it seems as though the problem with the 1600 cc injectors is a "glitch" in how they flow down low. After looking at the chart below it started to make sense to me why they didn't work very well at idle and low speed.

I'm glad more people are becoming aware of these injectors. David's feedback above is one of many good things I've heard about the ID1000 and ID2000 injectors recently (and why I picked up a set myself). For those who are curious, here are a few pics of the ID2000s:

Tony at T1 has sworn by these ID's for a while. When I was in dallas in the spring, I went to see him and he couldn't stop talking about them...lol

Thanks for posting the pictures. Super nice injector, fit great too, very snug.

I can't say enough about them either. It's amazing to me how many times I've been frustrated trying to get rid of problems and now after trying these it comes down to many of those times it was an injector problem.

No problem.

I'm just excited to have a reliable fuel system that runs great has another 200hp+ of fuel on tap!

David I was told that these injectors were flow tested w/C16 instead of normal gasoline that regular injectors are tested with @ 43.5psi base. In reality there 900cc injectors (ID1000s) for anyone that cares. The good thing is, you can bump the base pressure of these injectors way high without having any kind of injector "lockup", something that the older injectors didnt like too see, was a 55psi base. Seems with these, you can run them upto the moon without any ill-effects, pump permitting.

No need to worry, the injectors are based on a Bosch design (the new ones) if I recall correctly.

So for those people considering 1200 cc injectors for pump gas cars...The ID1000 would make sense ?

The comment was made that these are high impedence injectors, so would we simply remove the resistor box and jump the wires from the harness to the injector ?

I am assuming that these would provide a lot better control on stock ecu, high HP vehichles.
