Our standard 2.3 will run 9.70's no problem, you are going to need a taller tire that hooks anyway, so a 26" slick/DOT will keep the RPM's low enough to get by or go to a 4.11 final drive. Then there is our 2.3RPM engine option which we ran to 9900 numerous times this weekend.

As always thanks Dave. Ill be putting some serious thought into the 2.3. Im at the point now where all I need is a motor. Im sure whatever Buschur motor I get will make power with the stm650 cams and a 6262 I think my goals should be reachable especially with one of your motors.

If you are going to use STM650's and a 6262 then get the aluminum rod 2.1 I have listed or a 2 liter, don't waste your time with the 2.3 engine, you aren't looking for low end anyway.

Yes, the 2.0 can be made to work with MIVEC.

Thanks Dave.Let me see what I can do to get that engine. I shouldnt have any problems staying on stock ecu. I hope to eventually move to the aem's.

so your saying the aluminum rods will not last as long?

Im in the market for a new motor since iv spun a bearing 2 months ago and im just looking for my best option.
