Gruppe-S DRY carbon valve cover & cam gear covers are now in stock!!

Hey guys,

Our first batch of DRY carbon cam gear covers & valve covers are good in stock!

These covers fit perfectly into the stock location!

DRY carbon is known as pre-preg and is what is used in Formula 1, Aerospace, etc. The dry carbon material withstands higher temperatures, and resists deformation, warping, and is free of the resin found in wet carbon that causes discoloration. Dry carbon is also much lighter and stronger than standard carbon fiber.

Get it while it lasts, only 10 pcs available!

Hehehe sorry guys,

that's "spark plug" cover, not valve cover.

The radiator shroud is currently still in back order for a few weeks. There is apparently a world wide carbon fiber shortage, supposedly due to increased aerospace demand.

Cheers,

Gary

Gary,
Who is manufacturing this dry carbon for you and how are they manufacturing it? Is it high quality carbon with 1 x 1 weave? Pure dry carbon or fiberglass backed carbon? It is pre-preg dry carbon fiber? Sure it won't crack or discolor from the high heat in the engine compartment over time in a daily driver. Motor gets pretty damn hot in traffic. Interested but for the price only if it is real high grade dry prepreg carbon fiber with a 1 x 1weave.

No offense... but you seem pretty concerned and knowledgable. However it is plain as day that the weave is 2x2 on both pieces. Additionally, he states in the first post it's pre-preg. I can't imagine someone taking the time to cover fiberglass for pieces as small as this, so it is safe to assume it's 100% C/F. As for cracking discoloring - that would be the clearcoat, not the carbon itself.

Either way, this looks like a pretty good piece. Maybe wait for some feedback from users.

by nature they would sorta have to fit over aftermarket cam gears....I cannot think of any cam gear that does not sit in exactly the same spot as stock..otherwise you would need a different length timing belt as well
