Prosport gauges: Good gauges, not much dough.

Prosport gauges have been a very popular seller for us. They are LED-illuminated, and have smoked faces like the Defi BF gauges. They also do a little "opening ceremony" dance at startup like the Defi gauges, and like the stock STi gauges.

Until now, the BOOST gauge did not do that opening ceremony. But now we present the ELECTRIC boost gauge which DOES have the opening ceremony!

And it's still far cheaper than those mega-buck gauges.

Here's a vid -- caution, it's 13MB.

They come in both green and AMBER back-lit versions. (I know, I should have the amber gauges pictured here, to match the Evo...) Each also has the option to illuminate in hyper-white.

Hi Dresswhites,

Wiring is straightforward. You can get power/ground/light circuit at the center console (they're easy to grab up in the dash, or right by the ashtray). These gauges are at a constant illumination level, so they can't be dimmed. But hey, did I mention they're 1/6 the cost of Defi?

dude to make them dim im not sure how good it is for the LED but plug them into a thing on the dash that dims
for every light in the dash theres 2 sets of grounds and power wires one is for a dimmer wire into that and it will dime with the rest of the dash
but like i said im not sure if its good for the gauge or led

NO!

LED's do not work like standard bulbs. They basically have enough electricity to illuminate, or they don't. These gauges ARE NOT DIMMABLE. Do not try to make them that way.

If you just want the gauges to be constantly illuminated, you can simply hook whichever illumination wire directly to your switched power. If you want the gauges to change color when you turn on your car lights, you'll want to wire them differently. See the instruction sheet for details.

I was reading the new threads and came across yours requarding these gauges you just picked up. I'll be in the market for gauges and wanted to read up on the company and about the gauges themselves. Here is the link for Prosport's Homepage if anyone is interested: http://www.prosportgauges.com/

Let us know how these work out after the install along with pictures. Thanks.

Yes. Oil pressure and EGT are ONLY available in electronic form. Boost is available in mechanical, and electronic.
