Hey Guys.
I think I've replied to everyone's pms and requests. If I forgot you, please send it in the form of a pm with cf hood or trunk in the heading. This makes it much easier to track if i've replied to you or not! Sorry, I get a lot of requests and I'm currently driving across the country, so my internet access is limited!!!
Thanks!
Scott
p.s. our hood was sold and delivered so I don't have any photos to take at the moment. It usually only takes about a week to get them in...and they move quickly!!! I will snap off a shot of the next one we get in! It basically looks exactly like the stock hood, wet carbon, but "super light!!!"

I've had both the hood and trunk on my DD for over two years now, no complaints; both pieces are very good quality. The hood required minor modification of the OEM latch to close properly (slotted one bolt hole to move latch slightly). Both hood and trunk are ridiculously light.
The trunk is not stiff enough to use OEM trunk springs, both the "trunk+wing" and the RS "no wing" trunk springs will warp it and prevent it from closing. I bought a set of RS springs and ground them down to weaken the tension until it was just enough to keep the trunk open (with OEM wing).
The only gripe I have is that the trunk support structure which connects to the trunk hinges is too flimsy and will flex a lot. As a result, the wing (OEM + gurney flap in my case) will change angle of attack under load at high speed defeating the wings purpose. So definitely reinforce it if you plan on track use (I used urethane foam to stiffen up the hollow support structure and that worked like a charm).
I'd give it 8/10 for the trunk and 9/10 for the hood, it's good stuff.

Is this a 'normal' trunk lid in the sense that it's just a copy of the OEM, with bracing and mounting brackets on the underside, or is it just a trunk skin? Also, on the website, it says the trunk is 7 lbs. Is this new 4lb one without the underside bracing? I'm looking for options for lightweight bits on my PPIHC car, and we plan to mount our spoiler to the chassis and trim back the edges of the trunk lid to ease fitment.
Also, please let me know price shipped to 80111.
Thanks!
Dave
