I installed the VIS carbon fiber OEM style hood. It took 1/2 day and had to drill +25 holes. End result, all original deflector assembly was used on the CF hood. No water in the engine. See my picture in the Gallery. Search for user: 2Evokids. P.S. I went to VIS in Monterey Park, CA to buy the hood. They were not customer friendly, Price was slightly cheaper than ebay without shipping cost. The weight is almost same as original hood. It is not full carbon fiber. It is carbon fiber skin on reinforced plastic structure.

This is NOT a VIS hood.

I can get the weight Monday - it's right at the stock weight however.

As for the OEM shield, it fits

Not for nothing, but I take it you have not been around the aftermarket very long ? This is a styling mod, not done for any other purpose. A true 100% carbon cood would run upwards of $1500-$2000.00!!!

Are the edges rolled or are they cut? Picture of fiberglass frame?

It's not a rolled edge - the carbon comes about 1/2 way down
