Well I wonder if a machine shop could just duplicate the bracket for the other side. This wouldnt be hard to do.

putting a Plate on the other strut tower will raise the OEM strut brace so far you WILL NOT be able to put bolts the middle/firewall mounting point as the holes will be too far out of alignment

I think it would be better if Weapon-R just built a plate that mounts on top of the strut tower bar.

I don't know if that's true. After installing mine, the passenger side firewall bolt wasn't off AT ALL, even though I thought it would be a problem.

Maybe I'll grab some washers and see what difference, if any, it will make.

Going through my Super Street mag today and noticed that Signal Auto is selling this piece or similar to it for twice the price. Must be good if Signal Auto is using it. I'll probably order mine end of the month.

i wish the dampeners acted as a cushion, not a brace.... if the engine doesnt rock and absorb some energy, where is the energy going to go?

They do absorb some energy. You can try and push down on the damper, and though you won't move it much, the engine will.

Just ordered mine, we'll see when it gets here since it is ground mail. I will definitely put it to the test. Lets see if it helps my 60' foot LOL

it seems like a good product, but can an evo tranny handle the extra shock/load?

Considering these types of dampers are being used on race cars, I don't see why not. If anything, the transmission will not rock as much, and the smoother shifting will help tranny longevity.
