Wait wait wait, as far as I know, to be able to log and monitor EGT, AFR or anything with DTEC you need the Tuner. Where do you plug in the probes if it's not tuner. And I believe Tuner pro is needed for EGT because it has more ports in the back while just the regular tuner allows only for AFR.
Someone should clear this up..

Hey guys, I have a DTEC coming to me shortly, I'll post a full review and all the pics your hearts desire.. Probably have it here in a few days..

There are several ways to hook up the DTEC, if you want TPS and any other input that it supports from the ECU, you should splice into an Extension harness (like what is used for the S-AFC) so you can remove it and not cut up your stock wiring.

I'm curious how everything integrates together since i already have the UTEC, Tuner, and most of the sensors already installed on those devices.

alex alex - you can display 2 parameters at once on the screen

- boost sensor? If you mean a sensor to moniter boost pressure, its included with the setup we are offering (MAP sensor). If you mean boost control (to use the DTEC as your boost controller), that will be offered at some point in the future.

- as for shift light, not sure

- in terms of logging, you only need the Tuner if you want to log/moniter wideband AFR. To log rpm, boost and EGT you need to only buy the DTEC package we posted for sale. The DTEC has 4 inputs it can receive. So let's say you want to moniter/log boost, egt, rpm and tps. You would simply hook up the unit with the supplied sensors and then tap into the tps wire to get its signal. However, if you want to integrate the tuner so you can log and moniter wideband 02, you could add this in even if the 4 inputs are in use because the DTEC has a seperate plug and play port specifically to integrate with the tuner.

Jack - swing by if you want to pick one up (if they did not already send it to you)

Rez90 - it would work as a standalone unit to the AEM. In your case it would basically serve as your laptop screen to moniter things without having to bring the laptop with you.

Is the DTEC universal or only for specific cars? I would love to give this a try on my Spec-V...

I'll have something posted tomorrow, one thing I chose to use mine with was my blowthrough MAF setup, it uses a Ford Cobra type hot wire sensor that produces a 0-5v output which I can view with the analog probe.
