That should be the case, however, the WB 02 sensors don't last as long as standard narrow band ones. Does anybody know if this kit uses the Bosch VW sensor? If so, it doesn't really matter as you can pick those up from a stealership for usually under $60 bucks

yes, they use the $50 bosch ones.

they also sell the modified honda 02 sensors for a bit more, but it's really not worth it from what I hear.

It's the bosch that goes into the 7000 series, not the cheap 6000 ones.

damn, looks like my car is at it again...

Hey Cal, I have to get dynoflashed to get my super lean AFR down to normal or safe.

does my price still stand? I'll do a full review for you and of course, EVO GA members will hear about it as well.

Let me know. It'll be another month before I get out of this hole with body work, dynoflash, supporting component install, etc.

thanks.

that was one of the reason why i choose to go with this instead of AEM UEGO,

Can someone comfirm whether this is true or not and if this can go into the primary or secondary 02 sensor (one on the test pipe)?? For both the 300 and 500??

Thanks.

Placing wideband o2 on the 2ndary o2 sensor will not result accurate readings. These PLX units replace the primary unit that is located on the o2 housing.

I personally think M500 is a better buy because it has the wireless feature w/ real time data logging

Thanks

Cal

ok here is more info on the PLX's compatibility w/ current EMS on the market.

http://www.plxdevices.com/appnotes.htm

If you are using UTEC as engine management for your evo, please refer the application notes w/ the Hondata ECU. I have confirmed this w/ the lead engineer at PLX.

Can the plx be used with the stock ecu? If so how do you wire it, so that it reads wideband with the stock ecu? I'm having by ecu flashed and would like to monitor air fuel ratios.

Cal, do you have the newer R-500 model?
