Everyone shipping for the RM-01A exhaust will be around $75 -$100 depending on location. This is due to the size of the package, as this exhaust is a one piece cat-back.

Yes, it goes from 2.75" to 3". The exhaust is 2.75" for about 1 inch in length where it connects to the catalyzer, then changes to 3" all the way down to the muffler. Pipe size is good for up to 400-500 hp.

Can You Price-Match?

Kami,

I appreciate the info you've provided here. I have a few questions:

1.) Can you repost the picture with the exhaust coming out of the US bumper? It seems to be dead now.

2.) Can you match the price I've found at Bullet Proof? It's $682 + shipping for the JDM-spec version (I assume it's JDM) http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=1824

3.) Where exactly does it neck down to 2.5"? If I'm going to have to have my muffler shop put in a 3" section anyway, why not have them add the O2 bung as well and grab the less expensive one from Bullet Proof?

1. Picture has been fixed. (Actual RM-01A exhaust will be 1/2" longer than on picture. (Customer has shorter aftermarket cat.)

2. We could price match depending on their final price. How much are they charging for shipping? We only charge $75-$100 depending on location; plus its in stock and ready to ship. Pmed you.

3. Our sources had an error on the pipe size, we measured it and its actually 2.75 inches. It starts after the catalyzer at 2.75" for 1" in length and then changes to 3" all the way down.

What is the ID inside the resonators? There are two, and oftentimes the ID of the resonator *center* is smaller than the inlet/outlet pipes.

Why on earth does it neck down to 2.75" after the cat? If I bought this exhaust (which is expensive enough that I shouldn't have to do ANYTHING to it but bolt it on), I'd have to cut on it right away to make it a true 3" pipe. This is going to be a tough sale... I like it because it's very quiet, but for the money, I shouldn't have to modify it to be what it should be already.

I have a message into Bullet Proof asking about total cost including shipping.

Fujitsubo developed these exhausts to be used on the streets, yet strong enough to handle the power at the track. They were designed to keep noise levels down, while having a quality exhaust that is durable, less restrictive, more powerful, lighter, and greater looking than stock. Fujitsubo exhausts are designed to be capable of holding 100-200 hp more than stock (depending on vehicle). These exhausts are not race ideal for making big numbers at the drag strip or high hp on the dyno. However, they are great for adding and handling more power over stock, while keeping the cops away.
Accordingly, Fujitsubo designed this exhaust to be friendly with the stock catalyzer and yet flexible enough to be used with an aftermarket cat. This is why most of their exhaust bottle down to a lower diameter piping, so that it can be used with the stock cat. with no fitment issues, leaks, etc.

Yes, its much quieter. Maximum dB level on the RM-01A is 99 and 100 on the Fujitsubo downpipe.

Kami,

What did you find on the diameter inside the resonator? Could you post a picture?

Bullet Proof wanted $140 to ship the unit to me for $682....so, $822 shipped. I actually have a shop in upstate NY that says he can get it to me for $800 shipped.
