SuperTech valve springs are stiffer springs specifically designed for use with aftermarket camshafts. As valve train dynamics change with the use of high performance cam profiles and greater lift, stiffer valve springs are needed to optimize valve movement. When changing to a high lift cam, stock springs cannot match the increased valve train movement. Therefore SuperTech engineered valve springs that are precisely matched to the characteristics of any aftermarket camshafts. A stringent shot-peening and heat treatment process is applied to the SuperTech valve springs to provide durable and consistent spring rates over time. Applications with high revving engines will benefit from SuperTech valve springs, as the risk of valve-float and coil-bind is greatly reduced due to their specific design and construction.
Supertech Ti Retainers:
The role of a retainer is a stopper for valve springs. Therefore a retainer needs to be extremely strong and lightweight for reliability and engine response. The SuperTech Titanium Valve Retainer has been developed with emphasis on both strength and weight in mind. The SuperTech Titanium Retainer is 40% less weight than a stock retainer and twice as strong. As a result by using the SuperTech Titanium Retainer, the follow up response to the valve spring improves at higher rpm's.
