For anyone who already has a Deluxe (like myself) and had the lower IC piping coupler tear, there is a very simple solution (if you dont want to buy the new IC) and that is to just get a coupler (2"-->2.25") from AMS. They sell couplers that are 2x as thick yet still allow movement. Ive had mine on for a while now and appears that it will last forever. Just a tip for the guys who already own one!

Dave - are you going to create a solution for the deluxe users who want to upgrade to the 20G-9? I know A LOT of people run you Deluxe like me and would love to eventually get that turbo within the next couple months, so obviously, we would need a lower IC piping solution. Thanks

Tom

Dave,
A few questions / clarifications:

1. Lower IC pipe is 2" at the turbo and 2.25" at the IC, right? Is it a gradual taper in the hard pipe? or is it just a 2" to 2.25" silicon adapter?
2. What is the diameter of the IC outlet pipe? I have your upper IC pipe which is 2.5".
3. Got any pics of the new setup?
4. I have a Forced Performance White Rabbit, which kit would I need?

The new lower i/c pipe will not work with the older design Deluxe FMIC.

The new lower i/c pipe comes with the Deluxe FMIC as it always has.

You do need to trim or remove the lower undertray to run only our DELUXE FMIC kit.

The deal will run until for a couple of weeks. I'd like to move as many as we can in that time.

I/C pipes, lower, do come included with the Deluxe FMIC for the $675 sale price.

There is NO clearance problems with the lower i/c pipes to the actuator.

Do you need to purchase the Buschur upper IC pipe or will this work with the stock upper ic pipe or other upper IC pipes?

I'm 99.99% sure it'll work with the stock upper intercooler pipe.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will work with the stock piping as well. It better, since one is going on my car this week!

What HP and torque after a flash do you think this intercooler will yield? 15 HP?

Check my sig for my mods.

I'd be willing to say if the car is already tuned now and you just bolt the intercooler onto the car you will gain 15whp. This is assuming you are running 20 psi of boost or more.

If I get this FMIC I'll be running it with the stock 05 Turbo. Do I have to change the lower piping if I get a 50 trim, GT3076R or 35R???
