Completely Satisfied...
To all of the fellahs (ladies too) that are waiting for your E-flash, the only thing that I can say that echoes what many have already said is that it's worth the wait. It took me about ten days to get my E-flash. This morning (about 3:30 AM, Tacoma time), I decided to take my car out to I-5 and see what was really "going on". In second gear coming around an on-ramp, I thought, "Ah, what the heck?" Gunning it like I'm running from the "popo", I was like... ! I got back after about 30 minutes and woke my wife who was peacefully sleeping and told her that the car is a beast. I even tried out the two-step in the parking lot (yep, at 3 o'clock in the morning, so what) and nearly burned it up.
Big Al, thanks for the tune. I know that I had a weird combination of mods but I couldn't pass an opportunity of getting 20whp or so more power until more mods are added. Don't worry though because once I make it to Texas, I'll be hitting you up yet again for another ROM tune. Thanks.

It took two weeks for mine. Al was not prepared to get a bunch of raw binary files (.hex, .bin, etc), and his spam filter killed a bunch of our attachments from those early emails (when he first started offering the service). It got confusing for him to match up real identities with certain re-sent emails etc., and some of us fell through the cracks.
I can say... It's worth the wait. My car feels unreal with nothing but BR StageII on a IX, along with Al's basic mail-in flash for that combo. I just installed my wideband tonight, and I have not datalogged yet either, but a quick spin last night yeilded violent acceleration with no observable problems, and no audible knock. I'll datalog over the nexty few days and give Al a chance to edit the flash one time before I mess with it (unless I need to get rid of some obvious knock and/or a lean condition first), then I'll take it from there.
I actually feel bad for Al. He was WAY too generous with doing eflahses for $50. I would not bother for less than $100 for each hour of labor I spend, and I know each flash out ultimately cost me an hour of my time. Hey, if he wants to work that cheap, so be it, but I wager that it won't be long until he wakes up and prices eflashes at at least $100 a pop.

But why is that quote so high? Cable is like $95 shipped and the maps are $50 if bought seperately...

Thanks.
Thanks.
