Do Jun 264's have more of a aggressive idle then the HKS 280's? More top end horepower potential?

+1 on this question. or compare it with the HKS 264 or GSC 264.

Also will it be necessary to do the springs for a 264 set or 264/272 set?

1. Your idle is going to depend on how the car is tuned (flash/standalone) and the person tuning the car.

2. I don't have the cams installed yet but I have talked to numerous people who have the Jun 264's and most of them seem to say that the Jun 264's are very similar to the top end power of the HKS 280's, but because of Jun's aggressive ramp rate and duration the power band is much larger the the HKS 280's.

3. Yes you need springs.

What about the Valve retainer? is this necessary or just the springs will be fine if doing a JUN 264?

With just 264/264's you can get away with using just the JUN Valve Springs, but anything else, I recommend you use the Springs and Retainers.
