Considering the safe usable rpm range of a 2.3L with GT35R, and mild strip use, the JUN 264s are the better cam.
Thanks Ted for your input!!

Hello Ted,

Thank you for your input. My son told he was thinking of Jun 272's in the car. What would be the downside to these?

Rough idle (difficulty tuning), loss of low speed performance, and focus of power in rpm ranges beyond what a stock sized turbo can support.

With camshafts, don't be tempted that bigger = better. The best performer will be the one that delivers as much lift as the head can support (stock head is dead above ~10.2mm), and effective duration that supports the rpm range of the turbo. Anything bigger won't deliver greater power, just less low speed response and greater tuning headaches.

I have an AEM EM on the car and the Heads are going to be stage IV's by Jackson Machine with a 2.3 Jackson Stroker. I am also putting on a Shearer GT35R Turbo Kit.

I have heard the Idle shouldn't be a problem with the AEM and the heads can support any lift I would want.

As I've indicated previously, the only difference between the JUN 264s and 272s is duration, and the 272s appear to be best suited for something with a powerband that's presents a need for turning faster than ~8000rpm. For a typical 2.3L/GT35R and mostly street use, I'd probably opt for the 264s.
