Thumbs up

S2/BFG/NORCO MITS evo is equipped with the Peak Boost top mount manifold. The car has a "3040" turbo which is a 3082, but spools just as fast as the 3076. In other words, 30R spool wiht 35R power

I am assuming the car above is from Street Tuner challenge. I noticed in the episode that you guys made/modified the piping for it - downpipe, FMIC etc - Is that what a customer will need to do or do you sell a bolt-on koit?

the advantage to having the turbo topmounted would be ease of installation and removal.

however, thats not really the theory behind the HVS (High Volume Solution) design. the major performance benifit is the higher volume runners, which aids in reducing the topend backpressure and decrease the topend torque loss directly associated with this backpressue.

basically, the extra volume allows the engine to run much more efficiently in the topend, without increasing spooltime.

we're seeing great gains with this kit. in fact, i've heard rumors that a certain Time Attack car using this kit, is already breaking records in testing...

here's the 37R HVS kit on E85...:

also, if you havn't seen the Street Tuner Challenge episode where we install this kit on the above Skunk2 car, the replay is airing tonight

No, this kit is manufactured as a bolt on kit.

The show producers wanted to film it as more of a "build it" type, to have a more "custom feel".

I think it was a much better idea to give more content for the show. It would just look way to easy to bolt the manufactured kit on...

I get it - the ***** that narrates that show wants me to kill someone - the other skanks on that show make me mad too - I like how she said Peak turbo boost once or twice instead of peakboost. Also, the titles are all wrong - says Evo R32 and Mini SS - These people don't know jack **** about cars. Sorry to rant about that show - I am DVR'ing it to see how the car does overall. It better win given the competition seems like a bunch of douche bags!
