I live in South Carolina so we have no inspection and it doesn't matter if I have a test pipe or not. But i have a QTP cutout on my car so I put a Catco 3 in HFC on. I want a cat on the car so its a little quieter for daily driving and long trips...you guys (Mil.spec) said you had a 3 in HFC on your car before and switched to this 100 cell cat. Did you notice a sound difference between the 3 in HFC and the 100 cell cat and if so how much louder did it get? Obviously you noticed a power difference, you said 14whp&wtq gain over a 3 in HFC?
This will flow 50% more than a ceramic type HFC.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
This is for a weld-in cat....we're not selling bolt ons at the moment just so you know.

Noise gains are like turning up the volume i click on the stereo. Marginal, so it's slightly noticeable.

Thanks for the answers.......notice increase doesn't seem bad...the flow increase obviously out weighs the noise increase...no problem about the bolt in units...with my exhaust setup I would need to have welded in unit anyway...thanks again!

I just got my cat installed and no more test pipe stink! I do feel a slight drop in power coming from the test pipe, but it is more than worth it to get rid of the smell for me.
Thumbs up from me
Edit: Oh and the noise was "turned down" a bit too. I didn't have as much resonance as I did with my Megan resonated test pipe too, which was a little too much at certain rpms
