I personally would never want this setup. All the lope still the same lift as the 264/264 cam set. How is the idle? With a 272 intake it should be pretty bad. If lift is what helps torque and spool, and lope hurts low end and idle quality, Same lift and high lope seem as if they would hurt early power not help. Perhaps it is just coming on stronger, but later??? This would explain the chirping of tires.

I am simply trying to understand why the principles that usually apply regarding overlap duration and lift affecting toque and spool dont apply in this combo.
