Same amount of stopping power, less dust then Hawk, and NO squeaking.

i just ordered new pads ''ferodo DS2500'' they did not come with shims. do i need them?? what does the shim actually do??

We have 2 shims. We have Ti Shields or Shims that help prevent the seals in the calipers and fluid from getting to hot and making your brakes start to fade. We also have Anti-Noise shims that help eliminate any squeaking that hotter pads may cause. You don't need them, but if the squeak gets on your nerves, these will help.

Ti Shims are $80.00 per axel

Anti Noise Shims are $15.00 per axel

hey girodisc im really interested in switching to your pads but im not sure how much life it left on the stockers. i have about 10000 miles on the car and 2 autox under my belt. any idea when i should switch?

Just look at your pads and see how much material is left. Are you on stock pads? There might be ware sensors on your pads (little tabs of metal that hang down to the rotor). They are designed to ring when your pad is worn down.
