We just tried the 18x8.5 20mm offset WORK Emotion CR Kai on the EVO 8. They fit perfectly ! We run them with 235 / 40 tires. The rear doesn't stick out at all !

18x8.5 20mm offset,
standard color: bronze and Gun Metal
special color: white, glossy black and flat black, full polish
the polish black picture is 18x8.5 with 43mm offset.

The 9.5's are the aggressive concaved face, the 8.5's look nowhere near the 9.5's. Hopefully people know what there getting.

18x9.5 20mm offset is even more aggressive on the concave.
We have sold all three size / offset to EVO customers. 18x9.5 required too much modification to the fender. It sticks out around 1" for the front and 2.5" for the rear.
18x8.5 20mm offset is more suitable for EVO owner that doesn't want rubbing issues and don't want to go through the trouble in modifying the fenders.
Another common setup is 18x9.5 20mm offset for the front and 18x9.5 30mm offset for the rear. This way, the rear won't stick out as miuch. However, you can't rotate your wheels with this setup.
