you did mean T1S? Or did you mean RA1? AIM and Frisby (Us) are race tire dealers. I'm sure the reason Ron set his price lower is because he doesn't sell too many 45 series tires.

Example: My 235/40-17 RA1 price is $170 plus $15 to shave. While my 23/45-17 is $177 ea. How come the bigger tire costs less? Because Toyo lowered the price on 6 sizes which run in NASA. The 45 series was not included in the price reduction. You want a real deal? You can get a 275/40-17 for the same price. $170ea It all comes down to supply and demand.

I sell quite a few 45 series tires. But I also make an effort to be active on forums like this that use that size. Others make no effort at all and to be honest have no interest in participating. They just want to sell product, thus the low prices. I answer questions and support this site with money. Which in turns costs money. I like to think that my service and knowlege are worth paying a few dollars more.

This is the reason why most places don't stay in business and why my company has been slugging it out for 20 years.

WHY does he need to gett he prices up? That's an utterly ridiculous way to do business, in my opinion.

Back on task here. I tell you the RA1 in the 235/40-17 is going fast around here. Just got 20 in today and am down to 4. Going to order more tomorrow. The 235/45-17 are in supply as well. Remember if you need them shaved, we can do that too.

Let me just remind all here that we are the lone Race Tire dealer on the site. This is what we do for a living. Traveling to races and supporting racers. In two weeks we will be back up and running in our Las Vegas Location. So all you SoCal, AZ and other western states guys can take advantage of not just competitive prices but fast shipping and the Great Frisby Performance Tire service and knowledge. Give us a call.

I've shipped tires 3X with FedEx and never paid an out of box charge. How much are you paying per tire for that fee? Maybe it only applies to businesses?

It's $5 per tire. And if you didn't get charged, that is just because the person picking them up didn't add it in. Actually there is an out of box charge of $5 and oversize charge on some sizes of tires which is another $5. They make money anyway the can. Check out the fuel surcharge now too.
