Toyo Ra1 235/45-17 In Stock!!

Good News, no price increase for RA1's. Prices hold steady!
Back to the regular post ---

Attention Track Day and Road Racers. We have stock of the 235/45-17 and 235/40-17 Toyo RA1. Price is 235/40- $170 & 235/45 - $177 each. We can shave the tires as well. Price of shaving is $15 per tire.

The RA 1 is the best of both worlds for those who want an "R" compound tire and don't want to buy a new set every other event. Even shaved the tires will outlast a Kuhmo or Hoosier. Left at full skid the tires can be run as replacements for the A046 Advan. We have sold hundreds of these tires to EVO, WRX and BMW guys with great success. The 235/40-17 is the only Tire used in the SCCA Speed Challange Touring series. Now you can use the same tire.

If you have any questions check out the site, PM me or call me.

We ship all over the country. Locations in Chicago and Las Vegas.

These are competition tires. They much more grippy than the stock tires. And amazingly they will last nearly as long. A nice benifit that doesn't ususally apply to "R" compound tires.

The RA1 is a R-compound and tswift said will last "nearly as long" as stock but not quite. That is pretty good for a R-compound tire. The new rating for the RA1 is 100, although the compound hasn't changed. Toyo found that the RA1 were lasting longer then their previous rating. Am I right tswift? Bump for good prices.

as long as you don't shave them, they will work in the rain. Once they get get low, they don't work as well. The main funtion for this tire is for dry, nice summer days.

I also have some 235/40-17 in stock as well.

If you need Hoosiers I am the midwest's largest independent dealer for these tires. We ship all over the country.
I am the member mentioned. These tires are extremely sticky, and my Evo is more eager to turn than with the Advans. Great tires for the track, but they can be used every day as well. No problem driving to and from track days either. I also got a CG Lock at the same time Really holds you in the seat when performance driving. Great alternative to expensive harnesses.

Awesome tires for the track and dry traction... far superior grip to the advans... On Streets of Willow on average 1-3 seconds faster than the Advans and 1-2 seconds faster than Falken Azenis Sport R's, especially when shaved... this is a competition dot R tire... I would not use em for daily driving... they wear fast on regular roads...

RA-1's shaved, the only way to get better dry traction is to go hoosiers...

Another option for wet road tire if your interested is the T1S they grip better in rain than the Advans or the RA-1's but not quite as well on dry pavement however they do outlast both previously mentioned tires and cost a bit less. But for dry track use they may not be quite as sticky.

to T-swift,

Why are you guys 12.00 per tire more expensive than AIM in Sonoma?

Because Ron doesn't care about selling street tires. Anything else is gravy. Truth. I will be talking to him tomorrow to get the prices up.
