REAL Carbon Fiber Interior Sneak Preview!!!
The guy who doubted my skills was wrong. It's not too hard. It's quite easy if you know how to do fiberglass. IMO, much easier than fiberglass. Well, here it is. Enjoy. I still need to watersand it, clearcoat and UV coat it and test fit before putting it on the car. I'll need another week or so to complete this entire CF interior project.
Enjoy the first pic:

I'll write up a detailed DIY soon. And I'll offer this service for anyone who needs it if I have time (be prepared it'll take up to 2 weeks) but I'd rather have you guys play with CF. It's fun and not hard just very time consuming and small hands needed.
Tools needed:
Lots and LOTS of latex gloves. They say nitrile gloves but I use a pair of gloves every 5-10 minutes so I just use latex
West System Epoxy Resin 105
West System 207 Hardener
CF cloth
Respirator or mask (I can never work with these or put these on. I didnt even wear masks when I went to Toronto during the SARS thing)
Goggles (I can never use these either. At my Chemical Engineering lab, I never put it on unless I'm mixing some chemicals I do not know the outcome of. I cant see thru them)
And tons cardboard boxes from our friendly USPS. I took like 20 boxes to cover up my floor so I won't dirty it with resin and CF
Scissors and exato knife and razor blades you will no longer be using after this project

I think it looks ok. GOOD JOB! And people really are not doing it that much. What there is allot of is the Carbon Stick overlays and the only other thing is the OEM carbon interior kits which look totally fake so to actually get a real piece of carbon is a nice change. Im going to be doing the same thing except with a Blue/Carbon weave. I already got about 3 yards of it and the resin. Ill have to take pics of the A B C pillars i did. Since nobody made carbon A pillars without the gauges i took it apon myself since i think gauges on your A pillar is played out big time. Anyway cant wait to see it on the car
