I've tried the soapy water etc results are varied, on light scuff marks it comes out ok but on heavier scuff marks it just shows up after everything dries.

I'll try the vinyl cleaner. Hopfully I can find one that's not too greasy or something that will make the panel too shinny looking.

 

Could always pick up your feet?

 

I had these same marks on m car. Best wayo to get them off is to buy some of that sticker remover. Just spray it on there and let it sit for maybe aminute and it will wipe right off.

 

have you tried using a pencil eraser? if they are just scuffs and not scratches, the eraser should get it right off.

 

Anytime you have to push pretty hard on the painted surface, there's a chance of you leaving fine scratches. So be aware.

 

So many more things to try. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to take off the scuff marks, I'm sure one of the suggestions will work.
