It does not look like the 2x2 twill weave found on dress-up parts like hoods, etc. Carbonfiber has its strong aspects and its weak aspects. It would NOT make a good choice of materials for an automobile wheel. the first pothole you hit, the rim would crack/shatter. Carbon wheels are great for lighter vehicles like bikes and wheelchairs, not for 2000lb+ cars.
