Also make sure the insurance company knows everything this really does sound like a an insurance scam.

im surprised no one has mentioned the sprinkler pointing into the road...and what a "coincidence" it was that the car was parked DIRECTLY after the water in the road...almost as if the guy set the sprinkler up to ensure that anyone trying to stop would slide on the water...also, you should have checked the road and made sure that water was the only thing on the road...i know it was wet, but the advans shouldnt feel like ice on wet pavement...
the entire story sounds VERY sketchy to me...especially since the guy was on the phone before he even got out of the car...im thinking he may have personally called his officer buddy so he could file the accident report as he did...he may have gotten on the phone that fast so that you couldnt call the police yourself...although most people who are at fault in an accident dont want to get the police involved...he didnt want to give you that opportunity...and the way the cop handled it without even talking to you is sketchy as well
also, try to find out whos yard the sprinkler was in...and why they had it pointing into the road...if they say they didnt have it in the road, that just adds to the sketchyness of this accident

I feel yeah
Sorry to hear about this man, Trust me i know the feeling mine is in the shop as we speak, being repaired from a curb i hit. $6700 damage. (Go Insurance).
If the road is wet, especially if the sprinkler had just turned on, NO brakes in the world will save you from sliding. Oil on the street from other cars mixed with the water = bad. Streering away might have been your best bet. but i know it all happens way to damn fast. Dont let this hold you down though. Nothing you can do now except get your **** fixed and continue Mashing. ..good luck homie..

Ok, I just got back from Mitsu and here's the results. I get to mitsu and I asked them for an estimate, some guy comes out and looks around the car with me. He didn't even notice half the ****, I had to point everything out to him. He said i'd need a new bumper which would be about $400 and a new emblem for the bumper is 20 bucks! lol. Somehow they figured that I need a new hood because it buckled. I felt the hood and it doesn't seem like anything has happened to it and its usuable but who knows. The hood is going to cost $815. Then I showed him the intercooler and told him that needs to be replaced. He couldn't even find it in his database, at first he started to look up oil-coolers and all other random things. The new intercooler costs $721. After all their BS labor charges it came out to about $2,000 worth of parts, but thanks to the labor it came out to $3,200. My girlfriends dad owns a body shop and a mitsu dealer, so he said he can probally do this for under $2,000. The insurance company just called me aswell so the other idiot reported this already. Now i've just gotta see if its worth upgrading the FMIC and cheaper than the stock one. I've started reading up on this and it seems that most are infact cheaper than the stock one but is this going to cause turbo-lag because I don't actually need a bigger FMIC?
