It CAN be done, just have them put the sensors on all the doors so when they open...alarm goes off. Also, most alarms already have a shock sensor on them, so if anybody bumps or hits your car it'll go off also. I converted my whole car so it wasn't an issue...but they told me it could've been done. When you open your doors, there are those "buttons" that turn the dome light on...the alarm can be wired into those.

You had a question, and I had an answer. If you wanted more info, you should have asked the right questions. You dont need power anything for an alarm. No, you are not going to be able to unlock your doors with a button, but you an prevent thieves from breaking into your car. The alrm can still go off if your door is open because the door pins will trigger the alarm, your shock sensor will be able to detect noised/movement, and the alarm itself pretty much is between the wire going to your starter to prevent it from being started.

I'm having my buddy install a Compustar alarm system on my RS. He is adding door lock poppers (which will enable me to lock and unlock the door with the alarm chirp), turbo timer, and auto start (yes! even with the stick). For the locks, all you need is the selenoids installed where you want them. Oh, I may have the trunk opened also.
It all depends on who is installing it and what brand you're getting. Take it to someone who knows what they're doing, and You'll be fine.
