Question for the Evolution VIII Owners.

Does your rear seat fold down to give access to the trunk area or to put items through that are longer than your trunk? If so, does the back of the seat have a 60/40 split or is it all one piece? Is there an arm rest that folds out of the middle? I bought a used Evo VIII back seat to put in my 2004 Lancer O-Z. It is being shipped to me right now, so I guess I should have asked this before taking the plunge. I just wanted the back seat to match the Recaro front seats.

Thanks for any Info!
L8R, Jay

the evo rear seat does not fold down due to a rear structure support behind the seat.

There is a center arm rest that folds but the seat is not 60/40 it's one piece. I don't belive the seats fold down I haven't tried it yet.

The seat does not fold down and the armrest does not have a pass through.

i sliced the material that is in that hole to give me access. left some extra fabric there, sprayed alittle upholstery glue on the seat and stuck the access there. here is a pic when done leave about 2inchs all the way around. i left less. better safe than sorry, learn from my mistake

Good idea. Some day I may have the guts to take a knife to my EVO.

Oh, man! I sure hope the rear seat works then. My Stock rear seat folds 60/40. How is the rear seat mounted in the Evo? Is it cliped in or bolted in? Any help would be great!
Thanks, Jay
