A friend of mine over here in the UAE got an EVO 8 painted just like yours and it looks amazing.. I was going to paint mine that but got something more flashier lol..

By the way I noticed in one of the pix you were doing allienments for your car.. Do you have any speacial allienment for the track that I could try..

Thanks.

Ah! I neighbour from the UAE I think i've seen your friends car in some pictures..

Actually, the place I went to applied the stock camber settings on my car which are already programmed into their machine..I know I read a thread, either on here or on lancerregister.com which discussed alignment issues fom track-days..

Hehehe... They think I got a lancer..

And the Evo 7 don't have a crash beams.. they made that on the 8 that's why it is legal to sell it in the US now.. but over here it's all OK

pyrovice, it would be much easier to locate an older Evo in UAE than in Bharain..
but mostly RHD .. unless you are willing to pay a bit extra you might find few Evo6 and very very very few Evo 6 T.M.E for sale.. But for a RHD it's an easy find.. even if you wanted an Evo 4

brnevo, have you taken your evo to the track yet..

Yeah I saw both these evo's..the crashed S2000 too..they were posted on a local car website..

the orange one is a beauty.. How'd you blow your engine?

Haven't been on the track yet, but will take it to the strip once my 272s are installed.. already running 1.4 bar on VP racing fuel

I've already taken my BMW M Coupe to the track, and its alot of fun.. but the Evo should be a whole different experience..

I blew it on the track It was a bad day anyway.. 1 S2000 crashed, 1 pourche crashed and most of the Evos over heated . I got 2 piston failur and one of the con rods and the crankshaft got badly scrached in the process.. ( That was like 2 month's ago.. ) I am getting my Evo back inshalla this week..

You will find your self pushing a lot to the limit with your evo than what you use to with the M coupe.. Rear wheel drive is scary to me now.. .. And are you getting your car remapped after installing the 272s or no ??

Ouch! What mods and boost were you running on the track?

I'm going to keep the Ralliart ECU for the time being..will get the car remapped AFTER I upgrade the fuel system, internals and the turbo..

Do you have good mappers down in the UAE? I heard there are people out there familiar with Apexi Power FC..what about the AEM EMS?
