Yes it was confirmed by Spearco intercoolers and Garret turbos that using any regular spray paint on the intercooler will not drastically change air temps. So spray away.

You can anodize the aluminum. You use an electric current and a dye to color the aluminum. I don't feel like typing how to do it so search online. Just paint it.

Any suggestions are cool, thanks.

I painted mine black. just used cheap spraypaint (a very light coat). I would assume that it does affect the intercooler's cooling effeciency, but only a little and I'm not running enough boost through it to notice a difference. If I were to take it to the track, I would probably notice a little difference. After I get my new Injen FMIC, I am going to put a black mesh screen in front of it instead of paint or anodize.
for the record, anodizing is nothing like powdercoat or paint. It is a liquid chemical process. You would have to submerge the I/C into a vat of black chemical dye. This would NOT affect the cooling ability, so it would be the best way to "color" the intercooler.
