Bat's vinyl overlays installed

What do you think? I followed the directions in bat's guide posted in these forums, and it turned out pretty well I think. There are a few tiny bubbles I need to pop but from 3 feet away they are pretty darn convincing. I would recommend removing the taillights to put on the overlays, they're just a lot easier to work with outside of the car, and that way you can have your hot soapy water, hair dryer, and tools all close by in a clean environment. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you make sure that your work environment is clean, a speck of dirt or hair will ruin your hard work....

It is convincing. Are you going to rewire them so your white backup light is still white?

I'm not going to do anything about the backup light. I have heard about someone who rewired his tails so that the turn signals were reverse (with white bulbs in place of amber) and that one of the brake lights became the turn signal (since red turn signals are legal in the US). However, from the genuine VII tails i've seen, they have red backup lights as well, or at least it would appear to be since they're in the cluster and behind the red lens. Anyway, I'm not going to put the red stripes on my turn signals because I am sure it would just be too hard to do and end up looking bad anyway. My main goal was red tails, not necessarily an exact clone of the VII ones. I just think they look nice on a red car.

Looks good, but nothing is the same as the JDM evo 7 tails to me. Nice job anyways and you saved a lot of cash compared to people that paid $3xx for 7 tails.

yeah I prefer to think of this as making my taillights red on my red car rather than 'fake vii tails'. They're definitely not VII tails but they do look like they could be factory so that's all I care about.
