i use the perrin on the 03, & cut the stock one on the 05.

 

^^ did you notice any difference between cutting the stock antennnae and replacing it altogether???

 

I have the perrin one.. i dont use the radio much but i never really noticed any loss in reception. To be quite honest... i would prefer someone make a piece that is simply a plug for the antenna hole and just eliminated the antenna entirely. The vortex generator relies on the antenna to anchor it to the back of the car so you cant just leave the antenna off

 

I have the Perrin. I think I paid $28 for it. Radio still gets good reception, but I don't ever listen to it.
