my deck has a pretty extensive eq built in...I can make it hup to what ever I play...just have never had ti di so much adjusting before...this is the 2nd system in this car and prolly the 6 or 7th in my personal autos, and Ive installed hundreds (twas my job at one time) could be that most of the stuff I have installed in the pastwas ****e??? and this is the smallest wattage system I personally have ever had....don't get me wrong...they are loud and clear, but there was a huge unexoected difference when I switched from the game's how we do to metallica's one...the double bass in the begening of that soung is usually off the chat...but on these it was ...ehhh...untill I tweeked it alot....

I dont really know what the ratings on that amp is because ive been out of the subwoofer game for a few years now, but I used to have 2 JL W6's v1 though. I had to run 1200 watts to get it to sound right. W6's are designed to handle alot of power, and that amp you are driving it with doesnt appear to be big enough to get the job done. Hip-hop certainly has more bass to it, but I never remember my system being flat when i played rock music through it. I am sure there are some audiophiles on this website to help you out.

I understand that the amp is not in any way powerful enough to drive three 12w6v2 to their max...I tested the amp with my electronics equipt at school (I teach digital electronics) Im ging the triad 827 watts of relatively clean power...according to JL the subs can handle 400 a piece...with an optimal range being from 250-350....as I stated...I can make them hump to anything...just alot of tweaking going on...I feel bad that I ha to bastardize great subs with an ANABA amp...but se la vi....all in all I am happy....just wish there was more versitilty sans adjutment...but I want the world :P

Just for those who care...found the problem...the eq on the deck is alittle more extensive than I thought....there are 2 or 3 places you can adjust the crossover and level to the subs..set them all the same and WOW...just lets say its not flat any more....couldn't imagine if I sent 500 watts to each of them maybe Ill just have to try it though...when I can afford 3 500/1's

Get a nice JL amp to power those subs. The 1000w Mono blocks are nice. JL subs never sound like their suppose to unless they are powered by JL amps.
