Well, it seems that I will be needing to repaint my front fenders, hood, and bumpercover due to chips and scratches. I thought about maybe painting the entire car like the pic below. What do you guys think? (btw: my car is Rally Red)

i dont like it, but thats my opinion, i dont like how it looks sooo...fast-and-furious-like.

 

I'd just leave it. Rally Red is sexy. I like things that are clean and simple, though.

 

I love the advan livery. but, IF you're going to do that paint scheme, then go all out and do the advan stickers/wheels and lower it. do it right or don't do it at all.

even then, I don't know if enough people in TN are going to "get" the advan thing... not to mention the fact that you yourself might get sick of it pretty quickly.

 

unless youre seriosly going to show the car i'd advise against it... but hey its your car and its a good looking paint scheme i just cant see a street car going down the road like that. way too much attention and i bet a lot of it negative like cops and punk kids with keys

 

If it's a street car I'd stick with a solid color. Unique still, but solid.

 

Its a little flashy.. I would stick with a solid color..Maybe pick something unique that know one else has.

in all seriousness red is a sexy color keep it clean and solid red

Use vinyl for the second color...much easier and less permanent...

 

Painting the car like that isn't going to be cheap.

 

It will be done right if I do it. I want the Advan RGII wheels and Neova tires. It's already lowered with hotchkis springs, however the Tein Flex will be added later on. I dont really care if the TN rednecks "get it" if I wanted to be accepted here, Id be driving an 05 'stang.

I thought of this, but isn't vinyl kind of dull/not shiney?

I should have mentioned, my Evo is not a daily driver.


All of your opinions are appreciated. I think you may be right about it being too flashy. I am really just brainstorming...and since I have to repaint the front of the car anyway...

I must agree, however, that the solid color-clean looking cars are very nice...especially Najeeb's car (Illegalakkord)...but Im not the biggest fan of red. If my car were white I wouldnt have even dreamed of changing the color scheme.

p.s. need z, I will not be unemployed much longer...and the paint job would be scheduled for the end of summer anyway...not to mention I have a serious hookup for paintwork.
